Special Issue
RAIRO - Theoretical Informatics and Applications
"Randomness and Combinatorics"
We are pleased to announce an issue of the journal "RAIRO - Theoretical Informatics and
Applications" - that will be devoted to topics on combinatorics, algorithms, probabilities, and more
generally mathematical computer science, around the theme of random and exhaustive
generation of combinatorial structures. In connection with this main theme, contributions are
solicited on enumerative or analytic combinatorics, and interactions with other areas of
mathematics, computer science, physics or biology. The issue is both devoted to methods for
random or exhaustive generation and to original results on combinatorial or algorithmic questions,
whose solution has been made possible by an approach involving random or exhaustive
generation.
Submissions presenting original research within these areas are invited. All papers (at least 12 pages excluding the bibliography) will be rigorously peer reviewed. Authors are required to prepare their article using the latex template provided by RAIRO, available (via anonymous) ftp at https://www.rairo-ita.org/author-information/latex2e-macro-package in the directory /pub/ita. This issue will also contain full versions of selected presentations from GASCom 2022 held at Varese, Italy. Submissions by editors and organizers of GASCOM 2022 are allowed and will undergo a special blind review process. Authors are required to submit their manuscripts using the RAIRO submission system available at https://www.rairo-ita.org/. When submitting, in the field “Special issue” authors should select “Randomness and Combinatorics - Edited by Luca Ferrari & Paolo Massazza”.
To speed up publication, we kindly ask the authors to send an email to the guest editors with the title of the paper they plan to submit.
Schedule:
Deadline for submission: 30 November 2022 14 December 2022 (extended)
Tentative Publication: late spring 2023
